This new geranium is a neon pink sensation!

Recently featured by the BBC Chelsea Flower Show, the intensity of its flower colour beats other small geraniums hands down.

Although much taller geraniums can be found in magenta, Geranium ‘Intense’ holds its dazzling flowers on low cushions of semi-evergreen leaves reaching only 25cm in height, making it perfect for small borders, edges and containers.

Its only rival for this combination is Geranium sanguineum. However, Geranium sanguineum is a fussier plant, requiring freely draining soil in full sun. Geranium ‘Intense’ is much more versatile - a variety of Geranium cantabrigiense, it will cope with partial shade and poor soils making it perfect ground cover for underplanting shrubs, clothing rockeries and creeping over dry banks. It is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators and after flowering is over, it rewards again with a final autumnal performance of red tinted foliage. Height: 25cm (10”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
