Crocus sativus, the saffron crocus, flowers in autumn with showy purple blooms in October and November.

Which crocus are best for naturalising?

Many of our crocus varieties are suitable for naturalising. ‘Ruby Giant’ has purple blooms, ‘Queen Bee’ and Crocus ‘Panda’ are among the earliest to flower, and the Dutch crocus varieties in purple, white, yellow or striped patterns are also good choices.
