With its narrow, green leaves and attractive gold edging, Taxus baccata 'David' is a more compact version of golden Irish Yew and perfect for the smaller garden. This compact, hardy evergreen is slow growing, with a dense, stiffly upright habit that makes a handsome feature in the garden. Perfect as a formal container plant, or stand-alone specimen in borders and rockeries. This is a male plant which does not produce the highly poisonous fruits, making it better suited to gardens that are visited by children. Height: 1.5m (5'). Spread: 1m (3').

How to Grow

Grow Yew trees in any well drained, fertile soil. Taxus is versatile and will happily grow on acid or alkaline soils. It will grow thrive in almost any position from full sun to deep shade.
