Pinus mugo 'Mops' is a very slow growing, fully hardy, evergreen conifer. This dwarf Pine forms a rounded mound of dark green needles all the year round. The emerging new growth in spring has an attractive silvery sheen. Virtually indestructable once established, this tough little pine will withstand all weathers and soils - it is also wind and salt tolerant for those gardeners near the seaside or in very exposed conditions. Perfect for creating all the year round colour and texture in a rockery or a sunny border. Height and spread: 1m (3').

How to Grow

Grow Pines in any well-drained soil in full sun. Most Pines will tolerate dry conditions and exposed locations once established. Alternatively grow smaller species in large containers, using a good soil-based compost mix.

Once established, Pines require no pruning or maintenance.
