Description

Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd Variegata' is a handsome pyramidal evergreen with narrow, compact growth which makes a superb hedge, stand-alone tree or pot specimen. The dense growth provides an excellent visual barrier as well as filtering wind and noise. ‘Smargd Variegata’ has similar characteristics to the all-green 'Smargd', but 'Variegata' is distinguished by the unusual colour of its scaly foliage - emerald-green with golden flecks. Average growth rate:15-20 cm per year. Maximum height : 3.5-4 m (11.5 – 13ft). Spread: 70-90cm (27-35in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
