Superb by name and superb by nature, Stachys macranthra ‘Superba’ provides dependable ground cover beneath shrubs and roses and makes a long-season front of border feature. Related to our native betony and equally attractive to butterflies and bees, this clump-forming perennial produces plump spikes of purple, trumpet-shaped flowers held on sturdy, upright stems above oblong, wrinkled leaves. The flowers are long-lasting and produced over a long period from summer to early autumn. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 30cm (12”).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
