Description

Phlebodium aureum 'Blue Star' is one of the easiest houseplant ferns to grow yet is a real stunner! This fantastically funky fern first produces long, tongue-shaped leaves when young, going on to produce large, deeply lobed fronds once mature. This rainforest native is ideal for humid rooms such as the bathroom, in a bright spot away from direct sunlight. Blue Star fern is safe for pets and children. Maximum height and spread: 100cm (39in).

How to Grow

Place your Blue Star Fern in a bright spot, but out of direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves. Don’t allow the compost to dry out - water whenever the surface starts to feel dry. Phlebodium grows best in a humid environment such as a bathroom, or you can increase humidity around the plant using a pebble tray.
