Description
Echinacea purpurea ‘Magnus’ carries its petals more horizontally than many other cultivars and is distinguished by the warm bright colour of its exceptionally large flowers. The slender elegance and robust stems of the coneflower give it good wind and weather resistance, making a particularly stylish cut flower that is ideal for planting in coastal gardens. Echinacea flowers are long lasting, attracting bees and butterflies to their daisy-like blooms throughout summer. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow echinacea plants in a sunny or semi shaded position on moist, well drained soil. Coneflowers prefer a deep, fertile soil and will benefit from the addition of some well rotted manure or garden compost to soil, prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until coneflower plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut back faded echinacea flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide overcrowded plants in autumn or spring.
