This fast-growing succulent from South Africa is perfect for colonising poor, dry sites such as rockeries, gravel gardens and stone walls. Delosperma 'Table Mountain also lends a splash of colour to stone troughs, tumbling prettily over the sides and requiring little watering. Fuschia-pink, daisy-like flowers, 4-5cm across, shimmer in the sunlight and will continue blooming non-stop from early summer to autumn. The flowers blanket fine, evergreen, fleshy foliage that spreads in a dense, weed-supressing carpet and remains looking good throughout winter, often developing purple hues in response to cold weather. Exceptionally heat and drought tolerant, Delosperma ‘Table Mountain’ is also hardier than Delosperma cooperi cultivars. Once established, it requires very little maintenance. Height: 10cm (4in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

How to Grow

Delosperma thrives in poor sandy, sharply drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered position. Add plenty of sharp grit to the soil prior to planting in order to improve drainage and prevent the roots from rotting.

Delosperma requires little maintenance. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings and feed every 3 weeks whilst in active growth.
