Description
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Pygmaea Argentea' is a small and rounded shrub with gorgeous dark bluey-green foliage which fade to white tips. It is clear to see how it won the RHS AGM Award of Garden Merit. It has a slow growing habit and a lovely, rounded shape where it will grow to around 2m in height. Even though it has been around for a long time it is still one of best dwarf conifers going. Height 2m (6’5”) and spread 1m (3’2”).

How to Grow
Grow Cypress trees in moist, well drained soil. Chamaecyparis prefers a neutral or acid soil but does tolerate chalky soils well. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info
Once established, Cypress trees require virtually no maintenance. When grown as a hedge, prune Chamaecyparis at any time between late spring and early autumn, taking care not to prune into older wood.
