Carex testacea ‘Prairie Fire’ is a beautiful evergrass grass that provides colour and texture throughout the year, including through the winter when its warm tones are especially welcome. Narrow, olive-green leaves with bright orange tips arch gracefully from dense clumps. The foliage transitions to a deeper orange in the autumn. During summer, brown flower spikes appear. A lovely accent for gravel gardens, edging borders or cascading from winter containers, thriving in full sun or part shade. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
