How to Grow
Plant bareroots at the earliest opportunity following delivery in fertile, moist, well drained soil, and situated in full sun or semi shade. Although varieties of Astrantia major are more tolerant of drier conditions than many of their cousins, this hardy perennial will prefer a soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water plants regularly until fully established. Astrantia seeds freely. Divide overcrowded clumps of Masterwort in spring and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.
