Taller than many varieties, Veronica ‘Lavender Lightsaber’ is perfect for adding height to narrow borders or for the middle of a wide border. Small mauve flowers are tightly clustered into elegant, upright spikes that are irresistible to bees and butterflies alike. This spike speedwell is easy to grow, has a long flowering period and pairs beautifully with a contrasting flower shape such as Echinacea purpurea. Sit back and watch the pollinators flock in! Height: 75cm (30in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant your Veronica in a sunny, well-drained spot. Deadhead spent flowerheads to prolong flowering season, and any tired-looking foliage can also be cut back after flowering. Plants can be divided in spring or autumn to increase your stock. Ensuring soil stays moist will help to prevent powdery mildew.
