This recently introduced conifer has a neat, dwarf habit that will be an asset to any garden. The dense branches form a compact, globe-shaped, evergreen shrub with maturity that provides colour and structure throughout the year. Thuja occidentalis 'Fire Chief' is so named for its colourful foliage which is bright gold in spring, deepening to bronze during the summer months, and later intensifying to russet red in autumn. Perfect for rockeries, containers and the front of borders. Height and spread: 120cm (48").

How to Grow

Plant Thuja into any well-drained soil in full sun. The soil can be acid, alkaline or neutral. Protect plants from cold, drying winds, especially when younger.
