Salvia pratensis ‘Madeline’ will flowers for ages and ages – just be diligent with the dead-heading and feeding, making sure that plants are fed well after their first flush. Well fed plants that are prevented from setting seed will reward with blooms from June to September, providing pollinators with a source of food well into the end of the season. Hardy down to -10C, this drought-tolerant salvia enjoys a free-draining, sunny position, associating beautifully with grasses and other prairie perennials. Height: 70cm (28in). Spread : 45cm (18in).

Plants can then be set out in their final planting positions. Choose a site in full sun in moist but freely draining soil. Drought tolerant once established.
