Description

Two of the most exciting Floribunda Roses to emerge in recent years in one superb collection! Rose 'For Your Eyes Only' was named Rose of the year 2015, while Rose 'Eye of the Tiger' combines the vigour of modern breeding with the charm of wild roses. These strong growing shrubs show excellent vigour and disease resistance. Perfect for rose beds, mixed borders and patio containers.

Collection comprises:

  • Rose 'For Your Eyes Only' - Subtle scent and dusky pink-orange, blooms that flower right through summer and into autumn. The perfect ground cover and container rose. Height: 90cm (35"). Spread: 90cm (36").
  • Rose 'Eye of the Tiger' - Semi double, apricot yellow blooms are splashed with red at their centre for an attractive summer display. For the perfect mini climber, train the compact stems up short supports. Height and spread: 90cm (36").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Companion planting: Try growing roses with garlic, chives, thyme or mint to help deter aphids and blackfly.

How to Grow
Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
More Info
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In winter, begin pruning floribunda roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems to 20cm (10") above ground level. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
