Description
A climbing variety with very creamy coloured blooms which are suffused with a rich pink, Rose 'Eden Rose 88' is a vigorous, yet not overpowering climbing Rose. Also delicately scented for added attraction, this lovely cultivar will grow to approximately 6ft tall and so is ideal for using against fencing and for use in smaller gardens where it will happily flower all throughout summer and autumn. The dark green foliage will also provide the perfect backdrop for which to plant your bedding against to show them off to better effect. Height: 250cm (98").Spread: 200cm (78")

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rose hips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Companion planting: Try growing roses with garlic, chives, thyme or mint to help deter aphids and blackfly.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
More Info
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late winter, begin pruning shrub roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce strong young stems by up to a third of their length. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
