This compact version of the popular Photinia fraseri has been carefully trained into a clear-stemmed standard, creating a strong architectural feature for framing areas around the house such as doorways and entrances or injecting vertical accents into borders. In spring, the young foliage emerges brilliant scarlet, making a striking feature against the contrasting older foliage lower down the plant. As summer unfolds, the young leaves turn a dark, glossy green and rounded panicles of creamy white flowers appear. This low maintenance evergreen shrub provides interest and colour throughout the year and will readily tolerate hard pruning. Height: 2.5m (8.2ft). Spread: 1.5m (4.9ft).
