Description
Pennisetum ‘Hameln Gold’ is a fantastic structural perennial plant for any garden; the long linear leaves have a yellow-gold colour and look spectacular as they shoot skyward and the arch over to form an impressive clump. The flower spikes carry long catkin-like heads which hold their interest well into the winter too. A really easy to keep plant that is perfect for drier gardens or low maintenance areas too! Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 100cm (39")

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Fountain Grass into garden borders in any fertile, light, well drained garden soil, in full sun.
More Info
Take care not to overwater as Pennisetum plants may rot in over-wet soils. Although plants are hardy, they will benefit from the added protection of a dry mulch of bark or straw to protect the crown of the plant over the winter. Once you have enjoyed the autumn and winter interest of this plant, you should cut back any dead foliage and faded flowers in the spring.
