Flowering Months

With a low, spreading habit, Nepeta racemosa makes good ground cover, and is perfect for softening the edges of paths and borders. From June to September this attractive Catmint bears a profusion of violet-purple flower spikes that smother the mid-green leaves. Like all Nepeta, this hardy perennial is always busy with bees and has a peculiar effect on cats who adore its aromatic foliage. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

How to Grow

Grow Catmint plants outdoors in any well drained garden soil in full sun or semi shade.

Water regularly until Catmint plants are fully established. Cut back individual flower stems as they fade to encourage a second flush of Catmint flowers to be produced. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Nepeta plants in spring.
