Description
Your eyes aren't deceiving you! A breeding break through has created a new French Marigold with flowers in totally unique russet tones; bringing pink shades to the marigold colour palette for the very first time. These bushy, vigorous, free-flowering French marigold plants are set to be this year's must-have bedding plant. Marigold 'Strawberry Blonde' has high weather tolerance ensuring a long season of colour in beds, border and containers. Great as a 'mixer' but it truly comes into its own when planted en masse in drifts or blocks. Height and spread: 25cm (10").

Garden Ready Plants - Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

Culinary note: The citrus tasting flowers have many uses, try them in salads, sandwiches or seafood dishes too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

How to Grow
Pot up marigold plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise marigolds to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in containers and borders. Plant marigolds in well drained soil in full sun. When growing marigolds pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
More Info
Feed and water marigold plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of marigold flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer. Culinary note: Marigold flowers have a mild citrus flavour. Use them in sandwiches, salads, fish dishes and hot desserts.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
