A fully hardy evergreen conifer, that grows nicely in any well drained soils, including dry, chalky or sandy conditions. Juniperus communis ‘Pyramidalis’ is a narrow, columnar tree with linear, pointed, deep green to blue needles. Ovoid or spherical green fruit ripen to glaucous blue, adding seasonal interest to this low maintenance tree. Ideal for year round structure to the garden. Height: to 3m (10'). Spread 60cm (2').

How to Grow

Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
