Video
Luxurious mounds of rich chocolate-coloured foliage with contrasting burgundy undersides make an opulent display. Like all Heucheras , this colourful evergreen perennial provides superb year round colour in your garden. Heuchera 'Chocolate Ruffles' is particularly useful for containers and less than perfect soils, showing better drought resistance than many traditional cultivars. Perfect for creating ground cover in borders and wildlife areas where the creamy-white summer flowers will attract pollinating insects. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 50cm (20").
Culinary note: The leaves can be tossed in with other greens for a mixed salad, typically too bitter to eat on their own, they will add a tangy kick to an otherwise bland salad. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
More Info Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera plants every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
