Gaillardia ‘Mesa Yellow’ floods the garden with golden sunshine from late spring until autumn, whatever the weather. Although this is a short-lived perennial, it more than makes up for it with its exceptionally long flowering period and sheer abundance of blooms. The flowers withstand rain, heat and wind and retain their vivid colour throughout with little attention other than dead-heading. Neither is fertiliser required: these plants thrive in poor soil and flower better for it. The nectar-rich blooms make it a perfect candidate for a butterfly garden. Height 40cm (16”). Spread: 50cm.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
