No need to wait two decades to see this magnificent Handkerchief Tree coming into flower! Davidia involucrata 'Sonoma' is a very special and rare form of this iconic tree which produces very large bracts on plants only 2-3 years old. It will slowly grow into a medium-sized, conical tree or multi-stemmed bush with orange-brown peeling bark and large, heart-shaped green leaves that often turn yellow in autumn. The pendulous, white bracts with a ball of flowers at their centre appear in May and are one of the most impressive spectacles of the plant world! Height: 15m (49ft). Spread: 10m (33ft).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
