Description
This dahlia duo is great for providing vibrant colours in your garden at the all through summer. Both are a favourite for cottage garden borders, Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ boasts striking scarlet flowers which at over 1m high will really stand out at the back of beds or planted in large containers. Whilst the ruffled centres of Dahlia 'Totally Tangerine' provide a pleasing contrast in a most unusual shade of orange-pink. Both varieties make a lovely addition to beds and borders and also make fabulous cut flowers for summer bouquets. As with all dahlia plants, tubers need to be dug up and overwintered in a dry, frost-free place.

Duo includes: Height: Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ - Height1.2m (4'). Spread:60cm (24") and Dahlia 'Totally Tangerine' - Height: 80cm (32"). Spread: 45cm (18").

How to Grow
Plant Dahlia tubers outdoors in April after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6") and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June.
More Info
Feed and water dahlias regularly throughout the growing season. While dahlia plants are still young, pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage bushier growth and masses of flowers. Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Bedding dahlia are generally grown as annuals, however dahlia tubers may be lifted in autumn and stored over winter in trays of peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position if required. They can be potted up the following spring.
