Description
This dwarf Hinoki Cypress bears young foliage tipped with gold before darkening to green with maturity. Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Meroke Twin' is an upright conifer with a dense columnar habit. This compact evergreen makes a handsome specimen tree for borders, lawns and rockeries. Like all Cypress it is easy to grow and requires little maintenance. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 120cm (48").

How to Grow
Grow Cypress trees in moist, well drained soil. Chamaecyparis prefers a neutral or acid soil but does tolerate chalky soils well. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info
Once established, Cypress trees require virtually no maintenance. When grown as a hedge, prune Chamaecyparis at any time between late spring and early autumn, taking care not to prune into older wood.
