If fruits are desired then a male pollinator will need to be planted nearby. Plant in a shady position, will tolerate full sun but does not like very hot summer conditions. A hardy plant although protect from biting winds. Height: 5m (15’). Spread: 5m (15’)

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Plum Yew trees in fertile, well drained soil in partial shade. Cephalotaxus requires a cool, moist position with shelter from cold, drying winds.
More Info
Feed and water Plum Yew plants regularly after planting. Once established they will require little maintenance if grown as a free standing specimen tree. When grown as a hedge, Cephalotaxus should be pruned in early summer. Plants will tolerate hard pruning well.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
