Description
The English translation of this variety, Bergenia 'Winterglow', hints at this variety’s super power! Rounded, glossy, evergreen leaves become flushed with red in autumn. The bright pink blooms that rise above the foliage each spring, are carried on deep red stems. Commonly known as Elephants Ears, this hard working perennial needs little care throughout the year. Perfect for cottage gardens, low maintenance planting schemes and wildlife areas, where it will attract pollinating insects. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 50cm (20").

How to Grow
Plant Elephant’s Ears in any well-drained soil in sun or dappled shade. Bergenia will cope with clay soils very well too.
More Info
After flowering, remove the faded flowerheads of Bergenia. Cut off any damaged foliage as it occurs too, to keep plants tidy. Lift and divide clumps in spring.
