Description
We never thought we'd say it, but we think that Begonia ‘Funky Pink’ rivals the performance of our best-selling 'Apricot Shades Improved'! Ideal in baskets and containers, thanks to its trailing habit, 'Funky Pink' produces masses of unusually- shaped, large, double flowers in a lovely salmon pink with flecks of gold and striking orange centres. Easy to grow, compact, well-branched begonia plants provide an outstanding display, flowering over many weeks from June to September. Happy in full sun or semi-shade, enjoy these stunning weather-tolerant begonia blooms in mixed containers or planted on their own in a hanging basket - they’ll look amazing wherever you grow them! Height and spread: 50cm (20").

This product is a half hardy perennial and can successfully be overwintered for use again the following spring if kept in frost free conditions. However for convenience it is more often treated as an annual and planted fresh each year.

How to Grow
Begonia plugs can be planted straight into flower pouches but are best potted on first and grown on in bright, frost-free conditions if they are to be displayed in baskets, window boxes, pots and beds. Begonia plants can be transplanted into their final containers once they have increased in size. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise begonia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before placing them in their final positions. Choose a sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from strong winds.
More Info
Feed and water Begonia plants frequently throughout the growing season taking care not to over-water, as this will cause new begonia flower buds to drop. Deadhead faded begonia flowers regularly to extend the flowering period and encourage more blooms to be produced.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
