Description

Asplenium is an evergreen fern, which is suitable for growing in even the darkest corner of a garden. The strong rosettes of crinkled, glossy green fronds are on display all year round. Suitable for courtyard gardens, awkward slopes, patio containers or any shady border.

The Hart's Tongue Fern is an excellent plant for a difficult corner of the garden; and is one of very few plants that will genuinely thrive in deep shade. Height and Spread: 45cm (18").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant the Hart’s Tongue Fern in a moist, but well-drained soil in full or dappled shade. Avoid midday sun, as this can cause leaf scorch. Asplenium will cope well with exposed conditions and pollution.
More Info
Asplenium are tolerant of dry shade, although make sure plants are watered well during their first season after planting. No pruning is required, other than to remove dead, diseased or damaged fronds.
