Description

These hardworking Marguerites produce a dazzling display of cheerful daisies all summer long and are fabulous in sunny patio pots where they’ll attract plenty of bees and butterflies. The Aramis series are especially early flowering and feature bold blooms composed of a double layer of petals. They form compact, bushy domes of healthy, finely-cut foliage which are absolutely smothered in yellow-centred daisies from June to October. This collection also includes two exceptional colour-changing varieties: Aramis Bicolour Rose and Aramis Rose, which gradually change colour in response to age and temperature, creating a delightful harmony of colour variation in one single plant. These rewarding Argyranthemums are best grown as an annual bedder in containers, borders, baskets and window boxes.

Height and Spread: 30cm (12in)

Argyranthemum Aramis Collection includes the following 5 varieties:

  • Argyranthemum ‘Aramis White’ – White with a yellow eye
  • Argyranthemum ‘Aramis Bicolour Rose’ - Pale pink with a darker pink edge and yellow centre. Colour changing variety.
  • Argyranthemum ‘Aramis Lemon Eye’ – Pale yellow
  • Argyranthemum ‘Aramis Rose’ – Medium rose pink. Colour-changing variety.
  • Argyranthemum ‘Aramis Dark Rose’ – Deep, magenta/rose

How to Grow
Pot up plugs and grow them on in warn, frost free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise argyranthemum plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. Plant them out in well drained soil in sunny borders. Alternatively, grow Argyranthemum in patio containers using good quality compost such as John Innes No. 2.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded Argyranthemum flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, move container-grown plants to a bright frost free position and reduce watering. In spring, prune back stems to within an inch of the previous year’s growth. Border grown plants are unlikely to survive the winter outside in all but the mildest areas.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
