Description
The striking black bonnets of Aquilegia 'William Guiness' make a superb contrast with the white corolla. The exquisite blooms of this classic cottage garden perennial are carried on wiry stems, set above pretty ferny foliage. This hardy Columbine is perfect for en masse in borders and shady woodland edges, and makes an attractive cut flower for a vase indoors. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow aquilegias in a sun or part shade in fertile, moist, well drained soil.
More Info
Columbines hybridize readily, be aware that any self-sown seedlings may not come true to type. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary.
