A very versatile, low maintenance and unproblematic tree for smaller spaces, with pruning only necessary if required, which can be carried out after flowering. Height: 6m (20'). Spread: 4m (13').

How to Grow

The autumn foliage colours of Amelanchier will be at their best when grown in full sun. Plant into a moist, but well-drained soil, which can be neutral to acidic. Can be grown as a free-standing specimen tree or trained as a hedge.

Amelanchier are maintenance-free, and will only need pruning to keep them in good shape, or to remove any dead, diseased or dying growth.
