Description

Alchemilla mollis 'Robustica’ is a larger form of this indispensable garden plant, distinguished by its upright habit and bigger leaves and flowers. Soft mounds of fresh green, scalloped foliage are followed by airy sprays of bright yellow flowers in summer which will repeat flower in autumn, especially if cut back after the first flush.

The foliage provides an excellent foil to flowering plants whilst the yellow flowers enhance other colours, particularly blue tones. The size of the flowers on ‘Robusta’ makes it an especially fine selection for the production of fresh or dried cut flowers. A fuss-free, adaptable plant which will tolerate both dry soils and heavy clay.

Height and spread: 60cm (24in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Alchemilla in any reliably moist, rich fertile soil in sun or semi shade.
More Info
Feed and water Alchemilla regularly until well established. Lady’s Mantle seeds freely after flowering. If seedlings are not required simply deadhead blooms as they fade. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Alchemilla in spring or autumn to maintain their vigour.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
