Description

With both superb evergreen foliage colour and scented flowers, Viburnum odoratissimum 'Coppertop' provides the garden with colour and form for twelve months of the year. The dark green, super-shiny foliage emerges copper-red in spring and plants can be readily trimmed into low hedges or formal shapes, resulting in a fresh crop of rich red foliage and prolonging its season of colour. Masses of white, sweet-smelling, confetti-like flowers are produced in spring. Useful for creating an eye-catching focal point in containers or to act as a foliage foil for flowering plants. Height 3m (10ft) Spread 2m (80in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Viburnum plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any moderately fertile, well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Viburnum shrubs at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Viburnum requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and reduce any stems that spoil the symmetry of the plant.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
