Add some drama to spring borders with the dark, bicolour blooms of Tulip ‘Jackpot’. Each rounded flower head is a deep shade of mahogany, almost black in bud, with a contrasting white picotee edge that outlines every petal. The shapely blooms rise above attractive, silvery green foliage. This exciting Triumph variety boasts good weather tolerance and a long flower life making it a particularly useful for prominent bedding displays. Also perfect for containers and an excellent cut flower too. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 20cm (8").

Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
More Info After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
