Description

This English Yew is a medium-sized bushy evergreen tree with narrow, leathery, very dark green leaves. Male plants produce yellow cones in spring and female plants produce red cup-shaped non edible autumn fruits. Tolerant to dry soils and a good all round tough plant. They can be grown as hedges and are ideal for backdrops in herbaceous beds or as a general formal hedge. Unsurprisingly, Taxus baccata has been awarded a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 20m (66'). Spread: 10m (33').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
