'Jumbo Pink Banana' boasts sweet, flavoursome orange flesh and stores well. Reliable and high-yielding even in poor summers, this unusual variety will need plenty of space to ramble, but will reward you with a truly impressive crop. Height: 60cm (24in). Sow squash 'Jumbo Pink Banana' indoors in April for transplanting later on. Sow seeds on their sides in individual 7.5cm (3in) pots of seed compost at a depth of about 1.5cm (½in). Place in a propagator or seal pots inside a plastic bag at a temperature of 20-25C (68-77F) until germination, which takes 5-7 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Once germinated, grow squash on in cooler conditions until all risk of frost has passed and the plants are large enough to be transplanted outdoors. Gradually acclimatise squash plants to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting in warm, well drained, humus rich soil in full sun. Choose a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sun per day.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
