This compact Stonecrop is particularly ornamental with finely dissected, glaucous foliage and a host of late summer flower heads. The dense clusters of starry white flowers are delicately blushed with palest pink, attracting masses of bees and butterflies. Sedum 'Thundercloud' has a beautiful mounding habit that is accentuated by its unusual shaped foliage. A real treat for hot sunny borders, gravel gardens and rockeries where it shows excellent drought resistance. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 40cm (16").

How to Grow

Grow sedum in a sunny position in fertile, well drained, non acidic soil that has been enriched with well rotted manure or garden compost.

When growing sedum, water regularly during particularly hot dry periods until the plants are fully established. Cut back the old stems and foliage of spreading stonecrop plants after flowering to maintain their shape. Sedum is drought tolerant once fully established. Caution: All parts are harmful if eaten.
