Description
Best known as Pasqueflower, Pulsatilla vulgaris subsp. grandis 'Papageno' is a real gem in spring for the rock garden or patio planting scheme. This hardy perennial will cope with winter whether given a gritty, free-draining soil. A great choice for coastal gardens, this attractive plant is most at home in a rockery or gravel garden and also looks great in stone planters. This Pasqueflower has pale mauve double flowers opening from silky, silver fuzzy buds which give it an intriguing frosted look. Watching this unusual hardy perennial unfurl in your garden every spring is a real treat! Height: 20cm (8”). Spread: 20cm (8”).

How to Grow
Grow Pulsatilla on fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Pasque Flowers resent wet soils, so add some grit to the soil where necessary, prior to planting. Choose a location where they won’t be disturbed as Pusatilla dislike root disturbance once established.
