Description

Phlox paniculata ‘Orchid Duo’ features a zingy combination of lime-green and hot pink, showcasing dense mounds of pyramid-shaped panicles measuring 15-18cm that froth with single flowers, each one picked out with a contrasting margin.

Phlox is a mainstay of the cottage garden border. Its ability to paint broad brushstrokes of colour is invaluable, and its mounded, pillowy flowerheads contrast perfectly with more erect perennials. What’s more, the flowers of Phlox ‘Orchid Duo’ come with a sweet fragrance, adding an extra sensory dimension to both your garden and indoor arrangements.

Bushy growth and dense flowerheads gives this ‘Orchid’ series a hydrangea-like appearance, with a shrubby habit that is matched by its low maintenance character. Reaching around 70cm high, they are ideal placed in the middle or front of the border where their generous flowerheads through June, July and August offer a rich food source for pollinators, as well an abundance of blooms for cutting. Height: 70cm (30in).  Spread: 50cm (20in).

Phlox paniculata ‘Orchid Duo’ contains the following varieties:

  • Phlox paniculata ‘Orchid Green’- Creamy-green single flowers, each one picked out with a deeper lime-green margin.
  • Phlox paniculata ‘Orchid Yellow’ - Single flowers in hot pink each with contrasting lime-green to yellow margins.

More Info
