Description

Winner of a Fleuroselect award, Mandevilla ‘Sundaville® Double Blush Pink’ boasts creamy-pink, double blooms. The flamboyant, trumpet-shaped flowers instantly conjure up sultry Mediterranean afternoons on sun-baked patios. Originally from South America, Mandevillas are enormously popular on the continent where you may have longingly admired their exotic blooms pouring from sunny terraces but dismissed them as too tricky to try at home.

Fortunately, the breeders at Sundaville® have developed Mandevillas with superb characteristics that are perfectly adapted to Northern Europe whilst still coping admirably when we have long, hot summers. Sundaville® Mandevillas have been bred with big flowers, up to 75mm across, that come in bold non-fading colours. These strong and healthy hybrids are densely branching, carrying an abundance of flowers with an extended flowering period that means they’ll push out blooms for half the year. Amazingly, these rewarding plants require little maintenance. They have low watering needs and will tolerate periods of neglect. Better still, the flowers don’t require deadheading. This exuberant performer brings tropical style to patio pots, balcony boxes, hanging baskets and bedding displays. An evergreen climber, it also looks superb trained over an obelisk or trellis. Height: 1m (40in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Pot up Mandevilla plants using a free draining, soil based compost such as John Innes No:2. Grow them in warm, frost-free conditions with a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F). Choose a bright position with some shelter from intense heat and scorching midday sun. Pot grown plants can be moved to a sunny patio in summer but must be returned to an indoor position before the first frosts in autumn.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Prune Mandevilla after flowering to within 3 or 4 buds from the previous year’s growth. During the winter months, move containers of Mandevilla plants to a position with a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F), and water sparingly.
