Leycesteria ‘Little Lanterns’ is a compact new variety that is ideal for small gardens and containers. This dwarf Himalayan Honeysuckle forms a well-branched shrub with bright lime-green foliage that is deep-reddish bronze when young. Pendulous clusters of tubular white flowers enclosed by cerise bracts are produced from July to September, followed by deep indigo berries that are loved by birds. Leycesteria formosa ‘Little Lanterns’ is a versatile hardy shrub that will brighten up any border or patio! Ultimate height and spread: 1.2m (4ft).

Plant your Leycesteria in full sun or light or dappled shade, in a border, pot or woodland area, and water well. The soil should be free-draining with plenty of organic matter incorporated. If you would like to keep your ‘Little Lanterns’ compact, cut it back to 30cm in March (known as ‘stooling’). This will cause the plant to produce new, strong shoots with lovely bright foliage.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
