With parentage of Heuchera and Tiarella, this superb perennial has vigorous trailing stems cloaked with evergreen foliage. The copper-pink spring foliage matures to a fabulous tapestry of red, orange and gold tones by autumn. Loose panicles of creamy white flowers add extra interest in summer. X Heucherella 'Redstone Falls' is an unusual perennial that is sadly underused in gardens. Plant it in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes allowing the spreading stems to spill over in a colourful year round display. In borders it will create dense ground cover if planted en masse. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 35cm (14").

How to Grow

Heucherella plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to water-logging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water Heucherella plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heucherella every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
