Flowering Months

Flowering even in shade, it makes an excellent plant for north or east facing borders and provides invaluable groundcover in difficult spots beneath trees, shrubs and roses where the ground is dry and rooty. Heuchera easily shake off these conditions, smothering the ground and supressing emergent weed seedlings. Their palmate leaves associate well with contrasting fine textured foliage such as Carex ‘Everillo’. Height: 40cm (16”). Spread: 45cm (18”).

How to Grow

Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera plants every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
