The Kew Flowerhouse range of seeds from Thompson and Morgan has been specially created alongside the experts at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to bring the beauty of the garden inside. This outstanding range of handpicked seeds are perfect for enjoying in the garden or in the home. This range includes show-stopping flowers and elegant floral fillers ideal for a bouquet.
Known as Baby’s Breath, Gypsophila elegans 'Rosea' produces a delicate froth of tiny pink single flowers on impossibly slender stems. The loose sprays of summer blooms have a light, airy habit that makes a superb ‘filler’ for the front of sunny borders. This florist’s favourite is an indispensable component of beautiful summer bouquets. An easy-to-grow hardy annual, Gypsophila elegans can be sown directly where it is to grow, positively thriving in less fertile but well-drained soils. The nectar-rich blooms are also prized by pollinating insects. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 30cm (12").

1 Packet (2500 Seeds) (KC9710)
Direct sow Gypsophila elegans seed outdoors where they are to grow from March to April in full sun, on any well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sprinkle seeds thinly over the soil surface and lightly rake the soil to ensure the seed is just covered. Alternatively, sow seeds thinly at a depth of 3mm in drills spaced 30cm (12") apart. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes around 21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 30cm (12") apart.
Alternatively, an autumn sowing can be made for overwintering to produce earlier flowers. They can also be autumn sown, and grown on in pots, in a cold greenhouse to produce spring flowering pot plants.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
