We’ve selected some of our best varieties of classic bedding plants, all of which are a cinch to grow and will bring so much pleasure for just a modicum of effort.
Essential Winter Bedding Collection comprises the following varieties:
- Viola ‘All Spice Mix’ - Spectacular trailing viola offering a breath-taking variety of flower colour, form and scent. Ideal for hanging baskets, window boxes and flower Pouches® positioned by a front door or kitchen window for an explosion of colour and fragrance throughout spring. Trails to: 30cm (12cm).
- Pansy ‘Frizzle Sizzle Raspberry’ F1 - Glorious raspberry blooms with a darker blotch and a contrasting yellow eye plus a gentle fragrance. Plant them generously in containers and baskets for heart-warming colour that will see you through grey days from November-May. Height 20cm (8"). Spread: 25cm (10in).
- Myosotis ‘Blue Ball’ - Nicely compact variety forming neat ball-shaped plants that are smothered in dense cymes of bright blue flowers in spring and early summer. Run along border edges, underplant around roses and shrubs or add to containers and leave them to self-seed for future displays. An excellent companion to spring bulbs such as tulips and daffodils. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 20cm (8in).
- Bellis Giant-Flowered Mixed - Large, double flowers on short stems in a delightful mix of pure white, scarlet and rose shades. A classic bedding plant for patio pots or front of the border, looks wonderful combined with tulips and other bedding plants such as forget-me-nots and pansies. Tough and totally unfussy.

Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send ours before they flower, hardened off, at the perfect time for planting out. Plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season. Choose a sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from strong winds.
Grow in any well drained soil, in sun or semi shade. Feed and water frequently. See individual varieties for specific growing instructions.
Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.
Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.
Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.
Large items may incur a higher delivery charge - this will be displayed in your shopping basket.
