Description

Dahlia ‘Boom Boom White’ delivers a knockout punch with its classy blooms. Neatly rounded, ball-shaped heads are densely packed with gleaming white petals , flushed with a delicate hint of greenish-yellow in the centre. Blooms average 10cm across but with disbudding will reach up to 15cm. A variety prized by florists and exhibitors, with compact proportions and sturdy stems adding to its appeal and versatility. Stunning in the garden and superb for long-lasting indoor displays and bouquets.  Height: 110cm 43in). Spread: 60cm (24in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Dahlia tubers outdoors in April after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6") and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June.
More Info
Feed and water dahlias regularly throughout the growing season. While dahlia plants are still young, pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage bushier growth and masses of flowers. Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Bedding dahlia are generally grown as annuals, however dahlia tubers may be lifted in autumn and stored over winter in trays of peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position if required. They can be potted up the following spring.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
