How to Grow

Grow in bright, indirect light in a cool spot with daytime temperatures around 16°C. From June to September plants require a temperature drop between day and night to initiate flower bud formation. This can be achieved by placing them outside in a cool spot shaded from the midday sun. Once the flowers have opened move the plant to a warmer spot indoors. Support developing flower spikes with canes and cut down the flowered stems after flowering.

More Info

Water moderately from spring to summer. Water from above and allow the soil to dry out at the surface between each watering. Use tepid rainwater where possible, and let the pot drain well afterwards. Do not leave in standing water as this will cause the plant to rot. Feed in spring and summer. Reduce watering and cease feeding in winter.
